Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble

Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Theatre and Ensemble
Both the Ensemble and the School are housed in the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Theatre. With support of city and local foundations, CPRD secured and renovated the historic Shorter AME Church located in Denver's Five Points -- a neighborhood in downtown Denver often identified as an underserved community. The facility contains a three-hundred seat theatre, three dance studios and administrative offices. The theatre provides an affordable location for local, national and international groups to perform.
Our facility is a secure three level, 24,000 square foot, historic church. The theatre is located on the second level.

Tango, because life is short. Right now is the time for Tango. The tango that is danced at the Mercury Café evolved in Argentina in the 1930’s and 1940’s in an ethnic melting pot, as Jazz did here in the United States. The music is compelling and deep. The Mercury is one of the few places in North America that hosts live Tango music regularly and offers a Tango dance every Friday night. The dance is preceded by classes so that everyone can fully embrace this extraordinary music.

Expand your horizons, join the worldwide Tango renaissance and enhance your life deeply. Come. Come Tango…right now.
